Happy Birthday Dad.

"There's something like a line of gold thread running through a man's words when he talks to his daughter, and gradually over the years it gets to be long enough for you to pick up in your hands and weave into a cloth that feels like love itself." ~John Gregory Brown

Dear Daddy, I am so happy to be yours. I am so happy that God gave us to each other. Your are the perfect Dad for everything our family has been through. I love you so much. I love that you like to watch movies with me and read my US Weekly magazines and play 20 questions with me.

I remember so many wonderful things about my childhood. I remember you buidling me a spaceship out of leggos for class and making its boosters out of toilet tissue rollers. I remember you learning to love Barbie & Ken too. I remember our tea party in the kitchen. I remember loving going to White Water with you and riding all the big slides and I wasn't afraid because my Daddy was there. I remember when you randomly decided that everyone would eat dinner in my room with me when I didn't feel good.  (And lets face it, that was a big deal for you because you are so crazy abou eating at the kitchen table!) So, you went and got the card table and everyone ate pasta together in my bedroom!

Most importantly you have taught me what to look for in a husband. You have loved me so much and taught me that I am worth that love. I am worth waiting for and loving. I have seen you go to work before the sun is up and come home long after the moon as appeared in the great big sky. You selflessly give of yourself everyday and put us first everyday, all day.

You love your girls! You are the best "pageant dad" there ever was! What would I have done without you and your video gear?! You loved tutus and tap shoes. You know how to dry our hair and put curlers in it.

I love you so much. I hope you feel just a little bit of the love that I feel from you every day!

Love you so, so, so very much!  HAPPY Birthday!
