Hello Friends!

I felt like making that greeting a little fancy today. So, hello. How are you?

So, I was thinking the other night about blogging and my blogging habits (and lack there of, sometimes) and wondering if anyone ever felt the same way I did about their blogs and their own personal blogging habits. I thought we could have a little "mini bloggers' forum" today. I would really like to know what you guys think about blogging, reading other blogs, commenting, etc.

Is is just me or do any of you ever feel slightly intimidated leaving a commment on a new blog? A blog that is new to you, anyway. I feel like I am in a big classroom with my hand in the air and I am asking a stupid question. Do you ever feel that way? I always debate on whether to leave a comment or not, if I don't "know" the blogger. I tell myself that everyone loves comments, no matter who leaves them but that still doesn't help me much. But just for the record,I adore comments and I don't care who you are! :) Stranger or not-all comments are welcomed on this blog. Whether you want to comment on the topic or hand or just say, "hello", feel free to leave me one. And if you ever feel uncomfortable leaving a comment you can always email me.

How you you all find new blogs? Honestly, I have found most of my blogs by looking at my current friends' blog roll. A couple of blogs I discovered through google when I was looking something up. But for the most part, I find them through you all! What about you?

And I hope I am not the only one that feels this way but I am going to admit it...I usually scream out loud when I see that I have new follower! ha! What about you guys? Does that make you excited too or do you not really care about the number of followers you have?

Well, I can't wait to see what you guys are thinking and your opinions.

I wanted to share sweet Joyeuse!

Hello Everyone.

This sweet little girl is now my sponsored child from Compassion International. I am so excited. Everyone, please meet Joyeuse. She and her family live in Rwanda. After Kelly from Kelly’s Korner went on her Compassion trip to El Salvador, so many blogs I was reading either already sponsored a child through Compassion or they have begun their sponsorship in the past few days. I visited the Compassion website and only two words come to mind: overwhelmed and heartbroken. So many precious faces staring at me...how was I ever going to choose? I started looking through the pages of children from Africa because I have had an affection for Africa for several years that I can’t really explain. So many faces were piercing my heart and then I saw Joyeuse and the tears came rolling down my face and I knew that I had found "my child".

I waited a few days. I didn’t want to rush into this because it is a big commitment and I wanted to make sure that it was something that the Lord wanted me to do. I know that sounds crazy! Why wouldn’t God want me to sponsor one of His precious children? But I wanted to make sure that I heard God and not myself. So, I canceled my Netflix subscription (the money I used for Netflix I am now going to send to help Joyeuse) and I waited a few days. Seriously, I think I have enough movies of my own. I can do without Netflix. Tuesday night, I made if official and I am now Joyeux’s sponsor. I am so happy. I shared it with my family last night and they are equally excited and want to help too. Yay! So, to the many Compassion International Sponsors out there, thank you so much for speaking to my heart.

Hello Friends.

I know that I have a lot of blogs to check, emails & Facebook messages to return and a few phone calls to make. I appreciate your love and prayers and your emails of encouragement so much! Every email you send to me, I save in a folder called "Pick Me Ups". I go back and read them when I am feeling blue. I haven't felt very good this week. (But no fainting!) Last night my sister and I went over to a friends house to have dinner and play games. It was fun but so exhausting. I have been in bed all day today and plan on being here a few more days but my time with the girls was wonderful and I don't mind that I feel bad because of the fun that I had.

I have some photos and other things to share but I am just too tired right now. So thank you for being patient. Hopefully, I will get back here in a couple days.



Wanted to share this photo. My sweet Mama decorated my room for Christmas earlier this week. This is my view from my bed. And since this is where I am I these days, I just don't think my view could get any better! Do you? I think it is gorgeous! (I know that I am a little biased!)

A new look! What do you think?

Hello! Notice anything different? haha! My blog has been totally made-over and I am head over heels, in love with it! As we would say in the south, "Ain't it purdy?"

Emily, aka, The Blog Fairy, came to my rescue and created this new and wonderful place for me to share my thoughts and for you all to come and visit. I find it much more pleasing to the eyes than the old blog! Dont you?
So, Emily, thank you from the bottom of my heart! You have made my day! (Actually, with this amazing job, I think you "made" the next several days too!)

I am fixing to go to bed but I couldn't go to bed without first saying thank you to Mrs. Emily and thank you to my parents. This was an early Christmas present from them. So, thank you very much Mom and Dad!

My new blogger friend (and real life friend) Rachel has made my day! :)

Rachel is probably my oldest friend, ever. We were the only two children at Second Baptist Church for years! We were surrounded by adults who loved, pampered and spoiled us to pieces. We both eventually found new church families and lost touch over the years as so many friends do. In February we ran in to each other in Target and we have since tried to keep in touch through Facebook.

Rachel is a wonderful, Godly woman and I am so honored to call her a friend. She has a great blog, The Pilston Papers. You must visit her.
